Davos owes its almost year-round fog-free weather zone to this location. The unspoiled mountain landscape offers unforgettable skiing and hiking experiences as well as relaxation in the high mountain climate. Skiers, snowboarders and cross-country skiers can choose between 300 km of ski slopes of all levels of difficulty up to 2844 meters above sea level and 75 km of cross-country ski trails. Hikers and mountaineers can enjoy the mountain world on easy to difficult tours (700 km of marked hiking trails) with magnificent views of the Davos and Graubünden Alps. Bikers can ride over 1300 km of bike trails. Rustic and secluded mountain inns invite you to relax and enjoy, as do rustic fondue parlors and luxurious gourmet restaurants. The town also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of culture: the unique jazz festival in summer with jazzy trumpet sounds in the barn, on the train or in the mountain hut, annual classical music festivals, the famous Kirchner Museum, theater performances, lectures, discos, cinema, casino or the shopping spree on the promenade. In summer you can enjoy the fresh water in Lake Davos, get a tan on the Seewiese and relax while the red train of the Rhaetian Railway whistles through the woods - like Märklin in real life. Beautiful meadows and pastures, colorful pine and larch forests, crystal-clear mountain streams and a unique mountain world characterize the Davos landscape with its dreamlike side valleys Sertig, Flüela, Dischma, Monstein...

Hiking and mountaineering

The Davos mountain railroads take you to the highest vantage points in Davos hiking country. Mountaineers will also find adventure on numerous undeveloped peaks, e.g. the Piz Kesch 3418m.
